The current national president is Glenda Newell-Harris, MD. National membership is close to 14,000. The Western Area Director is Roxann Thomas Chargois. The Stockton Chapter is one of 59 chapters in the Western Area committed to friendship and community service.

Organizational Structure

The Links, Incorporated is divided into four geographical areas: Eastern Area (Connecticut, Delaware, Germany, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington, D.C.); Central Area (Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, West Virginia, Wisconsin); Southern Area (Alabama, Bahamas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Africa, South Carolina); and Western Area (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Washington).


The Links, Incorporated programs provide enrichment experience and encompasses five specific programmatic areas: The Arts; Services to Youth; National Trends and Services, Health and Human Services; and, International Trends and Services. Projects are implemented through strategic public information and education, economic development, and public policy.

The Links Foundation

The Links Foundation, Incorporated (hereinafter referred to as The Foundation) has been created by The Links, Incorporated and is therefore committed by choice to the guidance, purpose and determination to support, enhance and expand the program set forth by The Links, Incorporated.

The Links Foundation provides a means of securing tax exemption, and deduction for The Links, Incorporated chapters of The Links, Incorporated, and for other groups, individuals and corporations making contributions to The Foundation in support of activities within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. The Foundation is an arm of The Links, Incorporated; it is completely controlled by Links and The Links, Incorporated.

Human Trafficking Awareness

Discussion on Human Trafficking Awareness: Protect African American girls

The Stockton Chapter of The Links, Incorporated invite you to attend an informative discussion to raise the awareness of human trafficking victims. Please join this collaboration of San Joaquin County community organizations for an introduction to the indicators of human sex trafficking victims, the appropriate response for stakeholders when they learn of victimization and considerations for the recovery of victims. Attendees will receive information regarding available resources for the fight against human trafficking.

This is an opportunity to hear from practitioners in victim advocacy, law enforcement, and actual human trafficking survivors AND assemble emergency backpacks for African American girls who are victims.
